Video: Banjo - Ja Mi Si

Indulge in the Afro sounds of newcomer Banjo.  The Ekiti singer-songwriter recently released the feel-good single “Ja Mi Si”.

The humble artiste performs regularly on street corners in his hometown of Ifaki. Self-taught and passionately committed to being a career artiste, Banjo has been blessed with the ability to turn strangers into fans. His lyrics tell of a life lived with highs and lows within his career and hometown. On his new single Banjo encourages to hold strong through any adversity because a positive light always exists. Banjo (Aladegbami Adebanjo) is a songwriter currently signed under Hifi Records. Banjo was born in Ifaki, Ekiti before moving to Lagos. In his time in Lagos, he was known to have flourished as a hidden talent when it came to music. He learned production at a very young age, and began writing songs during his time at University of Lagos (Unilag) study Mathematic & Statistic. By the time Banjo had left school, he was already certain that music was going to play a major part in his life, and therefore studied at MuchMusic LessTalk before moving to London, which improved his chances of getting expose. Banjo began recording in 2010, which lead to the release of his first Single, tomorrow. He also released video for it, Banjo first gained major attention as he performed at the Television Fashion Show in 2013 along side Olamide Baddo.
