When Asake’s debut album, “Mr Money With The Vibe,” graced our ears on September 8, 2022, it heralded a new era of Afrobeat brilliance. Initially flying under the radar, it didn’t take long for its magic to spread like  wildfire. Soon, the album achieved platinum status and earned an astounding  eight nominations at the 16th Headies awards (Next Rated, Best Male Artiste, Song Of The Year,  Album Of The Year, Best Collaboration, Best Street-Hop Artiste, Headies Viewer’s Choice, Digital Artiste Of The Year, along with numerous other accolades, rightfully cementing its place in the music world.

Musical Video: Fireboy DML - Yawa

 

Fireboy DML, whose real name is Adedamola Adefolahan, is a Nigerian artist signed to the record label YBNL Nation. He gained recognition in the Nigerian music industry with his hit single "Jealous" in 2019. Since then, he has released several successful songs and has established himself as one of the prominent names in the afropop genre.   

"Yawa" is described as the second single from Fireboy DML's upcoming album, which is expected to be released in the summer. The song was written by Fireboy DML himself and produced by Magicsticks. Known for his unique style and vibe, Fireboy DML brings his signature urban vocals and voice texture to "Yawa," aiming to provide listeners with a different, special, and authentic experience.

YBNL recording artiste Asake recently released his latest album, 'Work Of Art.' This remarkable piece of music takes us on an intimate journey through the world of afrobeat, where Asake, a true grass-to-grace artiste, reflects upon his life after the release of his hit single, 'Omo Ope.'

The track has a big sound but is simple, with Fireboy DML using his voice to deliver good vibe, actually is refreshing to hear his voice without a lot of instrumentation because he is able to really showcase his vocal ability along with the lyrics.
